![]() ![]() Even though i say that, the story has a lot to be desired like more nuanced characters more personality and motivation to some characters, it does its job decently well and it works for what it is, yeah FE isnt really praised for its story (except for the great games held in Jugdral) but man do they actually got me wanting for a more compelling story. ![]() Obviously the story isn't a masterpiece but I did find myself quite invested and quite honestly one of the points why I kept going with the game. The gameplay is quite lacking but in terms of presentation its definitely the games stronger points the visuals, the MUSIC. It really shows in its map design and game design in entirety Swamp Maps, Desert Maps, literally point A to B bs, and frigging one inventory space as well as dungeon clearing which i was not a fan of. As my first FE in the 3DS I cant really make a comparison but from what I can gather from mitosis its quite different and its a game that pays great homage to the game its remaked upon: Fire Emblem Gaiden a game from the NES/Famicom era. Alternatively, having him become a Cavalier can be good as Celica's route is devoid of them until Conrad, the final unit you'll pick up.40h Played After finally getting back on the FE saddle for a long ass hiatus, FE Echoes was a good game to continue where I left off, not great or bad just good and thats due to the fact that the game is literally just a really old game thats been coated in new paint. He makes for one of the best Dread Fighters in the game. While Archers are very valuable in Celica's route, there is no denying that Atlas really suits becoming a Mercenary. More healing is amazing and she gets the valuable Anew spell, letting her act as the game's Dancer. While it might be nice to have a Pegasus Knight so early in the game, Faye really suits becoming a Cleric. His spell list is very good and his low speed prevents him from being very effective at anything else. Kliff is similar to Tobin, but is far more suited to the Mage class. Archers are great in this game thanks to the high range stat of bows, and Mages are also very effective thanks to most enemies having very low Resistance stats. Tobin suits both the Archer and Mage classes. It uses his good Attack and boosts his Speed nicely. Gray suits the Mercenary class excellently. For example, Alm loves meat but hates sweets, meaning that if he's fatigued you should give him Dried Meat instead of Honey, if you have both of those items. How much fatigue a provision recovers for a unit will depend on a character's taste preferences. ![]() These are food items and generic ingredients that can be acquired from many sources, such as investigating towns. This will heal your party's fatigue entirely and means that if you're close to completing a dungeon and leaving anyway, you can worry less about it. There are two ways to deal with fatigue while fighting in a dungeon: How much health they lose is based on the character, with some characters losing more than others. When a character is fatigued, they will have reduced maximum health, making them far more fragile in battle and a liability - especially on Classic Mode. If the face is happy and smiling, they have low fatigue, and a frowny face means the character is tired. You cannot see this directly, but the face icon next to a character's health bar will give you a quick, visual shorthand for how they're feeling. ![]() As you fight inside dungeons, your party will start to accrue fatigue. ![]()
